The Capuchin Franciscan Friars

Today the Parish of St Michan, Halston Street is under the pastoral care of the Irish Capuchin Franciscan Friars who have a notable presence in St Mary of the Angel’s Church Street and the Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People in Bow Street. The Capuchin’s have been a presence in the area since the 1600’s when the Order first came to Ireland. The Capuchin’s have care for the parish since 1983.

More information on the Capuchin Franciscan Friars and their work is available on the Capuchin Franciscan Provincial website: www.capuchinfranciscans.ie.
