A sincere thank you…

This evening we had a beautiful celebration of the Eucharist in our Parish Church and I just to take a moment to say thank you.

First of all, to each and every one of our parishioners. Throughout the Lockdown you have been a power of strength and support. Thank you for your understanding and generosity of spirit in face of so many restrictions with our Church at this time. I know the restrictions have been very difficult but please be assured that we will try our best to make you feel welcome and at home when you arrive.

To the local residents’ associations especially in Greek Street and Chancery House / Ormond Square for your incredible help and support.
To all who helped distribute the letters round the Parish – your help was very much appreciated.

A very special word of thanks to Fr Sean and Br John for sharing in the daily Mass here in the Church and our Capuchin Community here in Halston Street and in Church Street, for their support of the Parish and all that we do here.

Thanks to Carmel Keogh and Fr Patrick, our Parish COVID Steering Committee, who worked so hard to help get all the plans in place for reopening.

Thanks to all our fantastic volunteers who have signed up as Stewards and Cleaners. They are very generously giving of their time to support our Masses, funerals and baptisms; both at the weekend and during
the week. Under the current guidelines, without people willing to volunteer, we simply couldn’t open the doors.

Thank you to John Behan, Nugent Contract Cleaners and Roman for your very practical help in getting the church and church grounds ready.

A special thanks to our neighbours in the Presentation Convent for your continued kindness and support.

Last but not least, thank you to Robert, our Sacristan, Darren, our Altar Server and Michelle who leads us so beautifully in song.

Fr Martin
